Brock's MacDonald captures gold at Great Britain Cup

GREAT BRITAIN - Brock University wrestler Jessica MacDonald continued to move up her ranking in the world as she captured gold at the 2010 Great Britain Cup.

MacDonald defeated two opponents, both Olympians from their respective countries. She redeemed her loss from last year's World Championships against Poland's Lasina Roksana blanking her 3-0, 6-0. In her other match she pinned Australian Kyla Bremner.

In other Brock wrestling news, Jake Hergenhein left Sunday night for Hungary for the World Junior Championships and will be competing later this week. He is competing in the 55 kg category.
