Women wrestlers place first at Brock Open

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's wrestling team placed first overall at the 2010 Brock Open this past weekend while the men were third overall.

The Brock women had four first place finishers including Jasmine Mian (48kg), Diana Ford (55kg), Alexis Kilroy (63kg) and Laura Steffler (67kg). Placing second overall were Natasha Chang (59kg), Deb Jehu (67kg). Rounding out the Brock medalists Steph Riopel (55kg) and Marisa Sorrel (67kg).

For the Brock men, Jake Hergenhein (57kg), CJ Hudson (65kg) and Ben Rowbothom (68kg) all captured gold recording 4-0 records. Jake Needham (65kg) and Brad Trimble (76kg) both placed second overall while Randy Pfrimmer (76kg) and Spencer Bruch (90kg) both captured bronze in their respective weight classes.
