Women's Volleyball drops 3-2 decision to McMaster

HAMILTON, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (0-1 OUA) opened the 2009-10 OUA regular season with a 3-2 loss to divisional rival McMaster Marauders (28-26, 16-25, 18-25, 25-19, 13-15).

Leading the Badgers was senior Erin Mercer (Rockwood, Ont.) who recorded a double-double finishing with 12 kills and 10 digs. She also contributed with seven block assists. Senior Katelyn Geisbrecht (Virgil, Ont.) added eight kills while junior Shannon Anderson (Newmarket, Ont.), sophomore Rachel Roorda and freshman Tori Stirling all chipped in with six kills each.
