Women's Volleyball sweeps Windsor 3-0
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team (9-5 OUA) captured their fourth straight victory in 2010 with a 3-0 (25-11, 32-30, 25-11) sweep over the Windsor Lancers at the Bob Davis Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.
The Badgers had a balanced attack led by Player of the Game Erin Mercer (Rockwood, Ont.) who recorded the double-double finishing with 12 kills and 13 digs. Junior Shannon Anderson (Newmarket, Ont.) contributed with 11 kills and eight digs while senior Katelyn Geidbrecht (Virgil, Ont.) and freshman Tori Stirling (Whitby, Ont.) added eight and seven kills respectively.
Junior setter Ally Fast (St. Catharines, Ont.) handed out 39 assists while adding 11 digs for her 11th double-double of the season.
Leading the Lancers was Player of the Game Kaila Seguin who registered 13 kills and 17 digs for the double-double.
As a team, the Badgers hit a season high .386 (43K - 4E - 101TA) while Windsor had just a .125 (29K - 16E - 104TA) hitting percentage.
The Badgers next action is January 23rd and 24h when they travel to Kingston to take on RMC and Queen's.
