Women's Volleyball sweeps Waterloo 3-0, Wiley records 1000th career dig
WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University women's volleyball team
(5-4 OUA West) ended their four game losing streak Saturday
afternoon on the road as they swept the Waterloo Warriors 3-0
(25-17, 25-23, 28-26).
The Badgers used a balanced offense as junior Erin Mercer
(Rockwood, Ont.) led the way with nine kills. Sophomore Shannon
Anderson (Newmarket, Ont.) contributed with eight kills and 14 digs
while junior Alex McKee (Whitby, Ont.) rounded out the Brock
leaders with eight kills. Sophomore Ally Fast (St. Catharines,
Ont.) registered 34 assists and six digs.
On defense, senior Kaila Wiley (Mississauga, Ont.) recorded her
1000th career dig with a 23 dig performance to lead the Badgers. In
222 career games, Wiley has recorded 1021 career digs averaging 4.6
digs per game.
The Badgers end the first half of the season on Sunday, November
30th at 2:00pm when they travel to Toronto to take on the Ryerson
Rams.
