No. 7 ranked Badgers blank Guelph 2-0

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The No. 7 ranked Brock University women's soccer team (5-1-1 OUA West) blanked the Guelph Gryphons by the score of 2-0 at home Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers opened the scoring in the 35th minute when senior Ali Bettger (Burlington, Ont.) beat Guelph netminder Joele Chartrain for her first of the season. In the 87th minute senior Lisa D'Aguanno (Richmond Hill, Ont.) buried a rebound behind Chartrain for her second of the campaign to secure the victory.

In goal, Syreeta Rhoden (Niagara Falls, Ont.) recorded four saves for her fifth victory and league leading fourth shutout of the season. In six games she is now 5-0-1 with a 0.33 goals against average having allowed just two goals in 540 minutes.
