No. 4 Badgers roll past Gryphons 4-0
GUELPH, Ont. - The No. 4 ranked Brock University women's soccer team (2-0 OUA) rolled past the Guelph Gryphons by the score of 4-0 Sunday afternoon on the road.

Brock controlled the ball the majority of the game answering with two goals in the first half and two in the second half.
Third year Laura Tirone (Welland, Ont.) got the Badgers on the board 11 minutes into the first half as she beat Guelph netminder Victoria Parker for her first of the campaign.
Brock's second goal was the result of a penalty kick in the 24th minute by fifth year senior Brittany Vanderkruk (Flamborough, Ont.) who kicked the ball into the upper right corner just out of the reach of Parker. This was Vanderkruk's first goal of her career.
In the second half Brock answered with two more goals just four minutes apart.
The third Brock goal came from sophomore Alexandra Esposito (Mississauga, Ont.) in the 59th minute, after a burying a quick shot into the corner of the net past Parker. In the 63rd minute, freshman Ali Palmer (Oakville, Ont.) made an impressive pass to senior Dayna Haig (Toronto, Ont.) who drove the ball past Palmer's dive for the Badgers fourth goal.
In goal, junior Syreeta Rhoden (Niagara Falls, Ont.) recorded two saves for her second consecutive shutout.
