ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women’s soccer team had three players selected to the 2009 OUA West All-Star Team. Cassandre Van Bakel (Aurora, Ont.) was named to the OUA West first-team while senior defender Brittany Vanderkruk (Flamborough, Ont.) and senior Ali Gartley (Camlachie, Ont.) were both selected to the OUA West second-team.

The Brock University women's soccer team (7-4-3 OUA) ended the 2009 regular season with a 1-1 against the No. 10 ranked Laurier Golden Hawks. With the victory Brock captures third place in the OUA West Division and will host the sixth place Windsor Lancers on October 28th in the first round of the playoffs.
