Erskine enters his 1st season as the interim Assistant Athletic Director at Brock University.
For the past 12 seasons he has been the head coach of the Brock women's hockey program.
In 2008-09, Erskine led the Badgers to a 13-10-0-4 record in the OUA advancing to the OUA semi-finals for the first time in school history. The 13 victories ties a school record for most victories in a single season.
In 2004-05, Erskine was named the OUA and CIS Coach of the Year after leading the Badgers to their best season in school history. Brock finished the regular season with a 13-7-1-1 record good for second place in the OUA East Division, and advanced to the conference Final Four for the first time in its third playoff appearance.
Erskine founded the women’s hockey team back in December 1998, while still an undergraduate student. With no Arena and no budget, he was integral to leading the program to Varsity Status in 2000.
For the next 4 seasons, Erskine worked in Toronto and commuted to coach the team full time as a volunteer. As the program started to move forward, Geoff Crane from the Merritton Lions Arena opened the doors for Merritton to become the home arena for the Badgers. The team would soon take off back into the top of the OUA standings thanks to many efforts of the players, coaching staff and support staff.
In 2005 Erskine became a full time member of the Department of Athletics thanks to the support of Athletic Director Lorne Adams and Assistant Athletic Director Chris Critelli. Along with coaching, Erskine has other responsibilities in the Department.
These include overseeing the Community Outreach Programs for Athletics. These programs are the Winning at Life Program, IMPACT Mentorship Program and the JUNIOR BADGERS CLUB.
Also Erskine is Camp Director for the Department’s Summer Sports Camps. As well the Brock Female Hockey camps have operated the last 3 summers thanks to the efforts of Erskine and the women’s hockey team.
