Denham enters his third season as the head coach and his fifth
season with the Brock Badgers women’s hockey program.
In his first season at the helm, Denham led the Badgers to a school best 22-5 record. He was named both the OUA and CIS Coach of the Year.
This past season, the Badgers finished with a 12-13-1 regular season record and lost in the first round of playoffs to the top seeded Laurier Golden Hawks.
For three seasons Denham was the head coach of the Ridley College Tigers girl’s hockey team. During that time the team’s overall record was 84–25–10. This included two CISAA championships, a silver medal and bronze medal in the North American Prep Hockey Association, and a bronze medal at OFSSA.
Denham was previously with the Brock Badgers as an assistant coach with the men’s hockey team. He assisted both Brock Hall of Fame inductee Mike Pelino (5 years) and current men’s hockey coach Murray Nystrom (1 year). His experience also includes 3 years as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level with the women’s hockey team at Niagara University and 2 seasons as head coach for the St.Catharines JR ‘B’ Falcons.
His formal training includes certification at the CAHA Advanced II Level. He also has his NCCP Level 3. Denham has attended numerous hockey clinics and has been an instructor and evaluator at several hockey schools and elite level evaluation camps.
Originally from Mississauga, he and his wife Michelle reside in St.Catharines with their family. He is the president of DENCO Engineering Ltd. a company he started himself in 1985 a few years after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
