Women's Hockey drops 4-0 decision to No. 2 Golden Hawks

WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University women's hockey team (4-8-1 OUA) lost for the fifth time in their last six games as they were shutout 4-0 by the No. 2 ranked Laurier Golden Hawks. With the victory, Laurier improves to 11-0.

Laurier opened the scoring 6:38 into the second period as Stephanie Crarey and Brittany Crago setup Alicia Martin for her first goal of the season which would be the eventual game wiiner.

The Golden Hawks would come out in the third period and answer with three more goals as Kaley Powers, Kate Paota and Abby Rainsberry all added single markers. With the goal, Powers moves into a tie for 5th in OUA scoring with a team high seven goals.

In goal the Badgers Beth Clause (Hamilton, Ont.) registered 34 saves while the Golden Hawks Kristen Kilgallen recorded 11 saves for the shutout victory.

The Badgers next action is November 28th and 29th at the Seymour-Hannah Centre when they play host to the York Lions and University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
