Stewart ends career with OUA West All-Star selection
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock University women's basketball player Lauren Stewart (Hamilton, Ont.) has been selected as a 2009-10 OUA West second team all-star ending her five year career with the Badgers.
In her senior season, Stewart put up the best numbers of her university career averaging a season high 10.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. She also recorded a career best 49 assists (17th in the OUA) and 46 steals (12th in the OUA). From the field she shot 37.9% (80-for-211) and registered a career high 80.4% (41-for-51) from the charity stripe.
In her five seasons, Stewart played in 97 career regular season games averaging 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. She also collected 113 assists, 114 steals and 38 career three-pointers made. She played in 1616 minutes (16.7 MPG) while shooting 39.6% (251-for-634) from the field and 70.5% (129-for-183) from the charity stripe.
