Badgers in the Community

On Thursday November 18th Grimsby Secondary School hosted their annual Principal’s honour role breakfast, which celebrated students at GSS who had obtained a 90% or above average the previous academic year in grade 9,10,11 or 12. Over 100 students earned this honour.

At the Breakfast, Principal Jim Heywood invited Brock Athletics ‘Winning at Life’ program to speak to the students about their experiences in regards to such areas as overcoming obstacles, believing in yourself and goal setting.

Brock was represented by athletes Sam Rimmer (Men’s Rugby), Maddie Wiseman (Women’s Rowing), Shannon Anderson (Women’s Volleyball) and Josie Kielstra (Women’s Rowing). The athletes had a great message for the GSS students that was well received.
