Brock Rowers show strong at Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - The Brock University rowing team had a strong overall performance at the 2010 Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships this past weekend medalling in three of the four under 23 age categories.
Travis King captured gold in the U23 lightweight men's race with a personal best of 6:23.3, followed closely by Eric Woelfl in third place again with a personal best of 6:27.6.
In the U23 Women's event Cayley Firth placed third in her first race ever and a personal best of 7:15.3.
Brock was well represented in the U23 men's race with 8 men entered. Clark Tyler won the race with a tie of 6:15.4. The heavy men then put a team together for the University Eight event winning the race over McMaster University.
