Men's Soccer plays spoiler in 4-0 victory over Golden Hawks
The Brock University men's soccer team (2-10-2 OUA) ended the regular season with a 4-0 victory over the defending OUA Champion Laurier Golden Hawks. With the victory the Badgers also ended Laurier's 2009 playoff hopes.
Despite a rebuilding season for the Badgers, Brock did one thing that many teams didn't which was defeat both the 2008 CIS National Champion York Lions in their season opener 1-0 on the road and end the season with a 4-0 road victory over the 2008 OUA Champion Laurier Golden Hawks.
Scoring for the Badgers were Tomislav Leko (Mississauga, Ont.), Andrew Nimtsiv (Courtice, Ont.), Nick Ianeri (Hamilton, Ont.), and Aldo Lombardi (Ancaster, Ont.).
In goal Ryan Toale recorded nine saves for his first shutout of the season.
