Men's Soccer falls to Windsor 1-0

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's soccer team (1-9-2 OUA) had their 2009 playoff hopes officially come to an end Sunday afternoon at home as they dropped a 1-0 decision to the Windsor Lancers.

The Badgers dominated the play the majority of the game outshooting the Lancers 17-6.

In the 69th minute, Windsor's Ianosei Owusa buried a loose ball in front of the Badgers goal of a corner kick that beat Brock netminder Ryan Toale for the game winner.

Windsor goalkeeper Dan Mendonca, who was named the Lancers Player of the Game, came up with some spectacular stops late in the game to secure the shutout victory.

The Badgers end their 2009 season next weekend on the road when they travel to Waterloo and Laurier in their final two games.
