Brock men's lacrosse advances to CUFLA Semi-Finals
LONDON, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (8-2 overall, 1-0 post-season) defeated the Carleton University Ravens by the score of 13-7 Friday night in the CUFLA quarter-finals to advance to the national semi-finals Saturday.
Brock rookie Greg Davidson (Toronto, Ont.) led the BU offense with a game-high four goals. Craig England (Orangeville, Ont.) contributed with the natural hat trick, Jordan Weedmark (Carleton Place, Ont.) and Dustin Dunn (Peterborough, Ont.) both added two goals each. Steve Priolo (St. Catharines, Ont.) and Mike Bentivenga (Burlington, Ont.) rounded out the Brock leaders each adding single markers in the victory.
In goal, Brock rookie Cameron Watts (Oakville, Ont.) was outstanding finishing the contest with 13 saves.
With the victory, the Badgers now advance to the CUFLA semi-finals against the McGill Redmen Saturday night at 6pm.
The University of Western Ontario is the host of the 2011 CUFLA Championships.
