Men's Lacrosse advances to CUFLA Finals with 13-4 victory over McGill
OTTAWA - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (12-0 CUFLA) avenged their CUFLA semi-final loss versus McGill from a year ago as they rolled past the Redmen by the score of 13-4 Saturday afternoon. With the victory the Badgers advance to the finals versus McMaster who knocked off the Trent Excalibur in overtime.
Brock led 5-1 at the half and scored five straight in the fourth quarter as they won their 12th straight.
The Badgers had another balanced offensive game as seven players had multiple point performances. Matt Evans led the way with two goals and two assists for four points. Mike MacLeod (3G), Chris Nash (2G, 1A) and Mike Bentivenga (2G, 1A) all contributed with three points each. Jordan Weedmark (1G, 1A), Dustin Dunn (1G, 1A) and Devin Sartor (2A) rounded out the Brock leaders adding two points a piece in the victory.
In goal rookie standout Brett Kikot was spectacular earning his first career playoff victory and 10th win of the campaign.
