Strong first half leads Badgers over Guelph 13-5

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (10-0 CUFLA) ended the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record as they defeated the defending CUFLA Champion Guelph Gryphons by the score of 13-5.

Leading the Badgers offense for the second straight game was Chris Nash (Toronto, Ont.) and Mike McLeod (Owen Sound, Ont.) who combined for 10 points on the afternoon. Nash recorded two goals and for assists for a six point performance while McLeod added a season high four goals. Dustin Dunn (Peterborough, Ont.) chipped in with two goals and one assist while Reed Board (Brampton, Ont.) and Todd Duncan (Toronto, Ont.) contributed with two goals each in the victory.

The Badgers led 9-0 at the half on route to their 10th straight victory. Brock will open the 2009 CUFLA playoffs at home against the Western Mustangs next Saturday at 2pm.
