Men's Lacrosse sweeps Laurentian, Improves to 6-0
SUDBURY, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (6-0 CUFLA) rolled past the Laurentian Voyageurs in back-to-back games up north this past weekend winning 18-5 on Saturday afternoon and 22-4 on Sunday.
In Game One, the Badgers were led by junior Chris Nash (Toronto, Ont.) who recorded a career high 10 points including four goals and six assists. Sophomore Mike MacLeod (Owen Sound, Ont.) collected four goals and four helpers for an eight-point performance. Senior Spencer Tinney (Orillia, Ont.) and rookies Dustin Dunn (Peterborough, Ont.) and Steve Nicholls (Peterborough, Ont.) all chipped in with two goals each in the victory.
In Game Two, leading the way was senior Matt Evans (Peterborough, Ont.) who led all scorers with a game high seven points including three goals and four assists. Nash registered four goals for the second consecutive game while adding two helpers for a six-point performance. MaCleod (3G, 1A) and Reed Board (Brampton, Ont.) (2G, 2A) rounded out the Brock leaders finishing with foure points each extending the Badgers win streak to six games.
The rookie goaltending duo of Brett Kikot (Toronto, Ont.) and Ian Duffy (Ajax, Ont.) split duties this weekend each recording a victory.
The Badgers next action is October 14th at 8pm when they travel to Hamilton to take on division rival McMaster Marauders.
