2010-11:

2009-10: During his sophomore campaign Smeltzer appeared in 25 of 28 regular season games... he registered one goal and three assists for four points... his lone goal was a power play marker against Western on October 10th, 2009... also racked up 44 penalty minutes

2008-09: As a rookie in 2008-09, Smeltzer appeared in all 28 regular season games… he led the team in defenseman scoring and was fifth in the OUA in rookie defenseman scoring registering two goals and 13 assists for 15 points… added one power play marker… recorded a career high four points adding one goal and three assists in the Badgers 7-0 victory over UOIT on October 25, 2008… scored his first career Canadian Interuniversity Sport goal against Ryerson on October 9, 2008.

Junior: Over three seasons he played in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Vernon Vipers... in 158 career games he registered 19 goals and 50 assists for 69 career points... he also racked up 327 penalty minutes... in 2007-08 he recorded a career best 37 points recording 10 goals and 27 assists... prior to the BCHL, Smeltzer played 14 games in Major Junior for the Regina Pats of the WHL.
