Brock Hockey Camps to offer more space
Brock University's annual August Skills Camp for youth hockey players has made arrangements to add additional ice times for players in the novice (7 & 8 years) and atom (9 & 10 years) and pee wee (11 & 12 years) age groups.
The August Skills Camp will be held Monday, August 23rd to Friday, August 27th at the Seymour-Hannah Centre, in St. Catharines. Goaltending instruction is offered during this camp also, however, numbers are limited.
"The increase in the number of participants has made us re-evaluate our programming. Rather than congest one ice surface with too many players, we feel a better environment can be attained, by offering another rink and maintaining our 4:1 player/instructor ratio", offered Brock men's hockey coach Murray Nystrom.
Brock University has been offering comprehensive hockey development camps for the past twelve years. The camps include professional instruction and the use of on-ice and off-ice technology to reinforce critical teaching points.
Cost for the camp is $215 and includes 1.5 hours of ice each day.
Registration and information can be obtained by calling: 905-688-5550, ext. 4060 or by viewing the hockey school website at: www.gobadgers.ca
