Men's Hockey drops 4-0 decision to UNB
FREDERICTON, NB - The Brock University men's hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision on the road Friday night against the defending CIS Champion and Brock coach Murray Nystrom's alma mater the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.
UNB opened the scoring 45 seconds into the second period as Lachlan MacIntosh set up Kyle Bailey. With just under three minutes left in the second period, Bailey would add his second point of the night as he set up John Scott Dickinson.
In the third period, UNB added two more goals. With a man-advantage 4:05 into the third period Lynes and MacIntosh set up Jonathan Harty for his first of the night.
The Varsity Reds would close out the scoring with just under a minute left in the third. Ben Shutron recorded the goal with assists from Dion Campbell and Chris Cullighan.
In his university debut, Brock rookie goalie Mark Yetman (Mount Pearl, NL) recorded 32 saves in the loss. UNB's Travis Fullerton registered 16 saves for the shutout.
