2008-09: Last season as a rookie Brochu appeared in all 28 regular season contests… led the Badgers in scoring registering eight goals and nine assists for 17 points… added two power play goals and one shorthanded marker… scored his first career Canadian Interuniversity Sport goal versus Queen’s on October 18, 2008... his first career goal was also an overtime game winner… was named a CIS Academic All-Canadian.

Junior: In 2007-08 played as an overage junior for the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL)... he played in 239 regular season OHL games since 2003 collecting 23 goals and 41 assists for 64 points.... was originally a member of the Owen Sound Attack before being traded to Guelph.
