Hooper leads Men’s Hockey past Windsor 3-1

WINDSOR, Ont. – The Brock University men’s hockey team (7-5-0-3) moved back into first place in the OUA Mid-West Division as they defeated the Windsor Lancers by the score 3-1 Friday night on the road.

Leading the Badgers offense was junior Nathan Hooper (Hamilton, Ont.) who recorded his team leading 7th and 8th goals of the season. He now has six goals in his past five games.

Freshman Adam Schwark (Saskatoon, SK) contributed with his fifth goal of the season adding the game winner midway through the second period. Senior Brennen Giroux (Charlie Lake, BC) added two assists with sophomores Gary Friesen (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.) and Steve Mullin (Guelph, Ont.) chipped in with single helpers in the victory.

In goal, freshman Kurt Jory (Brandon, MB) turned aside 34 shots for the victory.
