Hooper and Ashton named Henley Honda Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 16th are men's hockey player Nathan Hooper (Hamilton, Ont.) and women's hockey player Kristy Ashton (Port Perry, Ont.).

Hooper, a third year Accounting major, helped lead the Brock men's hockey team to a 1-1 record this past week including a 6-3 victory over the No. 6 ranked Laurier Golden Hawks. In two games, Hooper recorded four goals including his first career hat trick versus Waterloo. 

Ashton, a fourth year Sociology major, helped lead the Brock women's hockey team to their fourth straight victory as they defeated Waterloo 4-1. Versus the Warriors, Ashton set up the game winner and recorded her third goal of the season. She is currently third in OUA defensemen scoring and second on the team with three goals and five assists for eight points.
