Badgers Steel wins second consecutive National Championship

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock Badgers Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach Craig Steel helped the U15 Team Ontario Boys capture back to back titles this past week in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Last year Steel and Badgers Head Coach Brad Rootes won the U15 2009 National Championship with Team Ontario in Kamloops BC.

After cruising through the opening rounds to the championship game, Ontario beat Quebec in the finals 82–77, overcoming a 14-point deficit in the 4th quarter. 

“It was a great way to cap it all off," said Steel. "The best part for me was watching the development of our players and team progress throughout the summer.”

Coach Steel and Team Ontario were also a part of an International Tournament held in Argentina earlier in the season.  Ontario finished 3rd beating the Uraguay and Argentina U15 National Teams.
