Men's Basketball rolls past Rams 101-79
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's basketball team (3-5 overall) rolled over the Ryerson Rams by the score of 101-79 in their final non-conference game before the start of the OUA regular season next weekend.
Brock had four players in double figures led by rookie Clinton Springer-Williams (London, Ont.) who led all scorers with a game high 35 points going 15-for-25 from the field.
Sophomore Didi Mukendi (St. Catharines, Ont.) contributed with 27 points, five assists and six rebounds including three treys and 10-for-12 from the charity stripe. Junior Jay Fleming (St. Catharines, Ont.) added 13 points going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc while Mark Gibson (Toronto, Ont.) rounded out the Brock leaders adding 10 points and seven rebounds in the victory.
The Badgers shot 50% from the field going 38-for-76 while keeping the Rams to just 37.9% (25-for-66) for the game.
Brock opens the season at home next weekend November 6th and 7th at 8:00pm when they host the Ottawa GeeGees and defending CIS Champion Carleton Ravens. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Brock Campus Store, Footnotes and the Badger Shop.
