Men's Basketball drops 86-61 decision to NAIA No.15 Walsh University

OHIO - The Brock University men's basketball team dropped an 86-61 decision to the NAIA No. 15 ranked Walsh University Cavaliers Sunday night on the road.

Leading Walsh University was Joe Shardo who led all scorers with 25 points including 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. Kyelce Cescato was 11-for-12 from the field finishing with 24 points and seven rebounds.

Leading the Badgers was senior Owen White (Port Hope, Ont.) who recorded 17 points and six rebounds. Also in double figures was freshman Joel Whitty (St. Catharines, Ont.) who added 13 points in the loss.

Brock shot just 38.7% from the field (24-for-62) while Walsh shot 58.6% (34-for-58) including 64.3% in the second half. The Cavaliers almost doubled up the Badgers on the boards outebounding them 43-25.

The Badgers will take on Lake Erie CC Monday night at 7pm. They will be without both freshmen standouts Didi Mukendi and Joel Whitty.
