White and Wiley named Henley Honda Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – The Brock University Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 18th are men's basketball player Owen White (Port Hope, Ont.) and women's volleyball player Kaila Wiley (Mississauga, Ont.)

White, a fifth year Recreation and Leisure major, helped lead the Brock men's basketball team to a weekend split versus the Lakehead Thunderwolves. In two games, he averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per contest. He also shot 83.3% (15-for-18) from the free throw line.

Wiley, a fourth year Kinesiology major, led the Brock women's volleyball team to two exciting five game victories over divisional opponents Laurier and Waterloo. In two matches, Wiley was outstanding defensively registering 53 digs for an average of 5.3 digs per game. She currently leads the nation in digs per game averaging 5.5 per contest.
