Zimmerman enters his 7th season as a coach with the Badgers.

Matt started in the St.Catharines Minor baseball program where he played up until Junior. He also played middle infield at the Doyle Baseball Academy in Orlando, Florida.

A knee injury ended his playing career and so began the transition from player to coach. Matt started at the High school level as an assistant coach with the Governor Simcoe Redcoats and held that role for six years. During the last two years Matt has served as the head coach compiling a 15-2 record with two zone championship appearances and one SOSSA tournament appearance. 

Matt and his wife Amanda reside in Niagara Falls.
