HAMILTON, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team opened the 2015 CUFLA regular season with a 17-14 road victory over the McMaster Marauders Friday night.

Leading the way for the Badgers was Brandon Slade (Orangeville, Ont.) who led all scorers with four goals, highlighted by the 50th goal of his regular season career.

Newcomer Connor Ham (Newmarket, Ont.) contributed with three goals. Nicholas Beaudoin (Welland, Ont.), Nicholas Rybka (Bolton, Ont.), Jake Nyhuus (Oakville, Ont.) and Nick Karam (Whitby, Ont.) all added two goals each while Davis Neal (Orangeville, Ont.) and Jeremy McWatters (Whitby, Ont.) rounded out the scoring with one goal.  

Alex Guiney (Toronto, Ont.) recorded the victory in his Badgers debut.

The Badgers will play the Western Mustangs in back-to-back contests next week. Brock will travel to London On September 16th and will host the Mustangs on September 19th at 1pm as part of the new turf field opening and Homecoming weekend.
