McDonell and Del Signore named Henley Honda Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Henley Honda Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 15th are men's rugby player Rory McDonell (Brantford, Ont.) and women's basketball player Jessica Del Signore (Brantford, Ont.).

McDonell, a third year Business Communications major, helped lead the Brock men's rugby team to an OUA bronze medal against divisional rival McMaster Marauders. McDonell who finished the regular season second in OUA points with 74 converted on all three Brock tries which was the difference in the 21-17 victory. This was the first time Brock defeated McMaster twice in one season.  

Del Signore, a second year Physical Education major, helped lead the Brock women's basketball team to victories over Laurentian and York improving their regular season record to 4-0. In two games she led the Badgers offense averaging 17.5 points per game shooting 57.1% (12-for-21) from the field and 66.7% (8-for-12) from beyond the arc. Versus York Del Signore recorded a career high 27 points which included tying the Badgers single game record for three-pointers in a game with seven as she was an impressive 7-for-8 from beyond the arc. She also averaged 3.5 rebounds in the two contests.
