ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Henley Honda Athletes
of the Week for the week ending November 8th are
men's lacrosse player Brett Kikot (Toronto, Ont.) and women's
basketball player Lauren Stewart (Hamilton, Ont.).
Kikot, a first year General Studies major, helped lead the Brock men's lacrosse team to the 2009 CUFLA National Championship title as he registered 32 saves in two games with a .681 SV% and 7.5 GAA being selected the Championship MVP. In his rookie season, Kikot finished with a perfect 11-0 record with an impressive 6.27 GAA.
Stewart, a fifth year Kinesiology major, helped lead the Brock women's basketball team to a 2-0 start to the OUA regular season with victories over Ottawa and Carleton. In two games she led the Badgers offense averaging 16.0 points per game shooting 52.4% (11-for-21) from the field and 80.0% (8-for-10) from the charity stripe. She also averaged 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
