Yetman and Sukkau named Henley Honda Brock Athletes of the Week
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – The Brock University Henley Honda
Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending October
11th are women’s cross country runner Erin Sukkau (St.
Catharines, Ont.) and men’s hockey player Mark
Yetman (Mount Pearl, NL).
Yetman, a first year undeclared major, helped lead the Brock men’s hockey team to back-to-back road victories over the Windsor Lancers and the defending Queen's Cup Champion Western Mustangs. In two games he recorded 69 saves on 73 shots for a .945 save percentage. Three games into his rookie season he is a perfect 3-0-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .948 save percentage which all rank among OUA leaders.
Sukkau, a second year Sociology major, helped lead the Brock women’s cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Western Open. In her first career race as a Badger, she placed 6th overall in a time of 15:15 in the 4km course.
