Bruch and Steffler named Henley Honda Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Henley Honda Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 21st are women's wrestler Laura Steffler (Whitby, Ont.) and men's wrestler Spencer Bruch (Stoney Creek, Ont.).

Bruch, a fourth year Sociology major, helped lead the Brock men's wrestling team to their 16th consecutive OUA Championship sharing the title with Lakehead. He was the Badgers lone gold medallist posting a 3-0 record at 90kg. In the championship match he defeated McMaster's Sean House for his first OUA title.

Steffler, a third year Psychology major, helped lead the Brock women's wrestling team to their 10th OUA Championship title in school history. She defeated Guelph's Allison Leslie in the championship match at 67kg finishing with a perfect 3-0 record. For her performance she was named the OUA Female Outstanding Wrestler.
