Kraus and Anderson named Brock Athletes of the Week

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 14th are men's basketball player Andrew Kraus (Markham, Ont.) and women's volleyball player Shannon Anderson (Newmarket, Ont.).

Kraus, a fourth year Education major, helped lead the men's basketball team to two victories over RMC and Queen's this past week. In two games, the senior guard averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Versus Queen's, he was named the Brock Player of the Game after registering 20 points, six rebounds and four assists. 

Anderson, a fourth year Sport Management major, led the women's volleyball team to their fourth and fifth victories of the season with 3-0 wins over Toronto and Waterloo. In two matches, she recorded 26 kills, 11 digs and five service aces with a .558 hitting percentage. On the season she currently ranks among OUA leaders in three categories; kills (76 - 3rd), hitting percentage (.323 - 4th) and service aces (11 - 6th).
